Participants Compete at City Amateur
At last weekend's Chicago City Amateur, three of our finest participants represented The First Tee of Chicago proudly among the best golfers in Chicago. Some of the highlights included Jason's 75 on Day Two of the tournament and his brother Devaughn's 77 in the third and final round. The three golfers had qualified for the City Amateur by finishing in the Top 3 of The First Tee of Chicago City Amateur Qualifier last month.
Next up is the Chicago Junior Amateur, which takes place July 26 & 27 at Jackson Park. All golfers aged 17 and under are eligible to play in this competitive event, and The First Tee of Chicago participants are encouraged to show off their skills against the best junior amateurs in the area. Congratulations to Christopher Gee!
The First Tee of Chicago is proud to announce that 16-year-old Christopher Gee has been selected to attend The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy in Manhattan, Kansas next month. The week-long academy features workshops, career exploration seminars and golf instruction from top PGA instructors. Chris, who will be starting his junior year at Lindblom Math & Science Academy in West Englewood, is a five-year participant in The First Tee of Chicago programs. Way to go, Chris!
