About Us
The First Tee is an international youth development initiative of the World Golf Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that is supported by the leading organizations in golf. The First Tee of Chicago is one of over two hundred chapters dedicated to teaching life skills and character education through the game of golf.
In 2010, The First Tee of Chicago will operate programming at golf facilities located on the north and south sides of the city, as well as Willow Hill Golf Course in Northbrook as part of a pilot program affiliate. Working together with partners in the community such as the Chicago Park District, Billy Casper Golf Management and Chicago Public Schools, The First Tee of Chicago strives to instill in participants The First Tee Nine Core Values - honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. Young people who become members of The First Tee of Chicago enjoy a variety of opportunities to learn life skills that can help them grow as individuals and prepare for the future.

Board of Directors
A fifteen-member Board of Directors, comprised of leaders in the Chicago-area philanthropic, business and golf communities, governs The First Tee of Chicago.
