THE FIRST TEE OF CHICAGO ANNOUNCES "JUNIOR TOUR" FOR SUMMER 2010

The
First Tee of Chicago is proud to announce our Junior Tour, debuting in
the Summer of 2010. Patterned after the PGA Tour's "FedEx Cup," the
Junior Tour is made up of 7 tournaments taking place throughout Chicago
Park District golf courses on Thursdays all summer long. Participants
will be evaluated through a combination of golf scores as well as Life
Skills scores, and the ultimate winner will earn his/her prize on
August 7th at South Shore Golf Club.

Here's everything you need to know about The First Tee of Chicago Junior Tour:
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? All
participants in The First Tee of Chicago who are enrolled in a Birdie
level class are eligible. In addition, participants in the PAR or
PLAYER levels may be eligible with approval of the Program Director.
HOW DOES EACH TOURNAMENT WORK? Each
Thursday during the summer, participants will have the opportunity to
play a tournament at a Chicago Park District golf course. The player
with the best combination of golf score and Life Skills score will be
declared the winner. At the end of the season, the player with the
best overall score will become The First Tee of Chicago Junior Tour
Champion. Note: a player must compete in 5 of the 7 tournaments to be
eligible to become Champion.
HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD? To
register, please contact Cole Hyland, Program Director, at
chyland@thefirstteechicago.org or by phone at 773-885-8258. In order
to be eligible to play in a Thursday tournament, you must register by
Noon of Wednesday of that week.
CAN MY COMPANY SPONSOR THE JUNIOR TOUR? Yes!
